OUR STORY

R & S Truck Caps started in Ralph Schie’s front lawn in October 1983. Ralph was working for A.R.E. at the time, and had a dream of selling what he was making, sparked by a family member who wanted to purchase a truck cap. He was dating his high school sweetheart, Sherry, when he named the business “R & S Truck Caps”. Being a very practical man, he rationalized the name by saying if they ever separated, the name would still work since his initials were R.S. After Ralph and Sherry got married, they moved R & S to the Strasburg location in October of 1985.  In February, 2003, they opened another location in Akron.
